TOUR OVERVIEW
If you are interested in a full-day trip with limited time, you can take my combined private tour of Cu Chi Tunnels and the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City. The first half of the day is spent at Cu Chi Tunnels, one of Vietnam’s most popular tourist attractions. The journey is about 90 minutes from downtown Ho Chi Minh City. The tunnels are part of a massive and elaborate tunnel system of more than 200km used during the Vietnam War. Today, this place offers a sneak peek at the interesting underground life of Viet Cong soldiers during the wars against the French and the Americans. The second half of the day is spent in Ho Chi Minh City, also known as “Saigon”. The largest city in Vietnam is home to 13 million people and 8 million scooters! Saigon has since risen from the devastation of the war period. We can still see well-preserved colonial buildings and war relics in the city. On the other hand, high-rise and modern buildings are making their presence felt.
